Strides of Pride

With the summer Olympics underway, my yearning and passion to go to London has gotten even bigger. Seeing the backdrops as the announcers are talking makes me want to jump on a plane and explore the city. However, lack of time and funding is keeping that dream at bay....but enough about me!
Can you say WOW! Gold medals are not in short supply for team USA and I could not be more proud to call myself an American. The Fab Five delivered in their team performance taking home Gold for the first time since 1996 for women's gymnastics. The skill and dedication to be a gymnast and an athlete of that quality is incredible and for that I salute them.
Each of the US athletes show pride in their country and although some are there representing themselves, there are others who realize the strides and steps of pride they take for their country. They display the honor of every American when they step into their given arena. It would be a great pleasure to meet them and hear their experiences training and actually competing for that coveted Olympic Gold.
So stride on America and Go team USA!
